Last Monday was pretty normal.
Tuesday we had a zone meeting. We changed the way we report key indicators and such. Not a huge change, but it was for the better. Before, I had to call the zone leaders every night with all of the numbers and sometimes the information for the people with baptismal dates. Now its just a couple times a week. A lot better for us district leaders :) Then Wednesday....well it was normal! We found a lady that is about 27 named Carolina. She lives in the Monoblocks (government housing) in our area. She is really cool though and lives with her three kids. She was one of the few people I have taught here in our area that actually understood what we were saying. Most people just hear it and it goes out the other ear, but don't understand that we are telling them we have the one true gospel. Its gratifying when you find someone like her, and you feel your message is actually being heard. SO that was a plus side to the day.
Thursday....it rained a ton! Capital was flooded with like 4 feet of water. Haha we saw videos of people in kayaks going through the streets. Luckily our mission wasn't affected. But we were inside all day so it wasn't bad at all. Then that night we rocked it and finished with 4 lessons that day! That was a lot for only like 3.5 hours of proselyting.
Friday we just had a normal day and found a lady named Lorena. She is about 35 but isn't married with her boyfriend that lives with her(downer). But was really receptive and understood like Carolina. They really were the first two I have ever taught in Ciudad Evita that have been like that. Its good. I like it! But the only problem we had with both of them is that they told us flat out they don't want to commit to going to church or anything. So I think a good lesson about church attendance will be in order soon. Saturday was good too, a day of finding, knocking doors, and getting rejected for the most part. But we found some potential. Unfortunately none of it has given any friuts yet. That will be this week.
Sunday was a good day! We had Stake Conference! The temple president came with his wife and counselor. And president Carter was there. Also one of the branches in our stake got made into a ward! it was awesome! They all stood up and voted for it, and for their bishop. But the sad part is we didn't have any investigators there. Usually that is how you can judge how well your efforts during the week have paid off.
Well other than that I can't think of anything to write. Alberto is kinda progressing but having some hard times in life. He should be able to get baptised, but it may be next month. We are praying hard for him. That's about all right now.
Sounds like mom and dad had a blast for their anniversary! I totally forgot about it so
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!! haha love you and thanks for being the best parents ever :) So glad God let me come be part of our awesome family and that i can be sealed to you for all eternity :) love you tons!
Have an amazing week everyone. Hope its full of great family experiences. Do your best to get into the holiday spirit! And try to serve in any way you can. It is the best way to spread the gospel :)
